Keeping in touch & reaching out is essential in this time of crisis

It is undeniable that COVID-19 is a global health challenge. The virus brings a heavy load to our families. Many will be more vulnerable due to: sickle cell disease, a limited access to resources and socio-economic conditions that prevail amongst immigrant families in urban settings.

A listening ear to support you
We understand that COVID-19 can induce anxiety for sickle cell patients and their respective family members. This why we have put in place a communication plan and support initiative since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in the province of Quebec.
You will be able to reach us via social media and our web site:
• Call or text 514-830-4782
• Write to us on Facebook AAFQ
• Send us an email

Feel free to pick your phone, use your tablet or computer to reach out to family members, friends, colleagues or neighbours. Getting in touch and talking to others is an effective way to break isolation.

Our commitment to you
The association is there to help you cope with the anguish and anxiety and moments of depression caused by this pandemic as well as the difficulties it can bring to your health and that of your loved ones.

Stay safe and follow public health guidelines.
